Buying A Used Car From A Franchise Dealership

By Jeff Hendrix
The biggest advantage of shopping at the used car lots is that they often have the biggest and best selection of desirable cars (low-mileage, late model). If you are going to buy from a new car dealership that sells the same car that you are buying used, new. So for instance if you are going to buy a Toyota, you will probably get the best car at a Toyota Dealership. This is because in theory a Toyota Dealership will know the cars the best and have the best models for sale.

Buying from a new-car dealers trade in is probably going to be the most expensive way to get a used car. This is because new-car dealers only sell the cream of the crop of used cares. If they get a car with high-mileage or body damage, or one that would need repair, they just sell it of at a used auto auction. Also a new car dealership can provide the best warranty on the car, as well as they are looking to build a strong customer base. If you buy one used auto that works great, you are likely to go back to that same dealership to buy the next one. They also know that some day you may be looking for a new car so it is worth their time and money to provide only the highest quality of car.

Pricing on these cars is going to be the most of any other source of cars. They do include the best warranties though, and are most often in the best condition. The pricing of these cars is based on a ton of factors such as market demand for the car, expected resale value later, etc etc. It is also important to keep in mind that dealership will probably never sell the car at below the wholesale cost. The thing you get for these higher costs is lower risks. The risk of buying a car from these dealerships is much much slimmer than it is at any other source of used cars.
