IF YOU ARE NOT COMPLETELY SATISFIED IN ANY WAY
WITH YOUR NEW LIGHT BAR, PLEASE CONTACT US. Our entire purpose as a company is to
offer great products at affordable prices that our customers love.
Please take a few minutes to read the installation instructions and become familiar with the
wiring and installation before beginning to ensure a high quality, trouble free installation and
use. If you have any questions during your installation give us a call at 877-77-Tower or e-mail
Support@MonsterTower.com
NOTES ON INSTALLING AND USING YOUR NEW TOWER LIGHTS
Tower lights will reach a high temperature when operating. Do not touch or wash the
lights for 10 minutes after use.
Only use “H3 55W 12V” Halogen light bulb and fuse for replacement. These are available
online at bulbs.com and most auto parts stores. Anything exceeding 55W/15Amp could
result in damage to your boat wiring.
Use appropriate gauge wire for all connections. Consult wiring diagrams & wire sizing
chart for details.
Use of a relay is highly recommended unless you confirm your switch can support a 20
amp load. An inline fuse is required (see wiring diagram)
Tower lights are not for wakeboarding at night, which is illegal in every state.
There are countless methods of wiring lights. Please contact a marine wiring specialist if
you need assistance. We have provided the most complete information we have found
within this document.
It is highly recommended that you use a relay and a fuse with each set of lights.
MTLB-V1-051506 Copyright 2002-2006, Monster Tower, Inc
Monster Beam Tower Lights Parts List
Item Qty Description
1 2 Tower Collar Bracket
2 4 Delrin Collar Inserts
3 1 Tower Light Bar with Four Lights
4 4 M8x25 Socket Head Cap Screws
Standard “Two plus two” light bar with two facing forward and two facing rear
Light bar with four lights facing the same direction by turning around the end lights
Lead wires with common ground (Black) and Red and Blue Power leads
Page 2 of 5
MTLB-V1-051506 Copyright 2002-2006, Monster Tower, Inc
Attaching the light bar to the tower
Attach the Collar Bracket (Item 1) to the tower using M8x25 bolts (Item 4) and the Collar Inserts
(Item 2) that matches your size tower (2-1/2” are provided for Monster Towers and a universal kit
with 1-1/2”, 1-5/8”, 1-3/4”, 1-7/8”, 2” and 2-1/4” are provided for other towers).
Turning the lights to all face the same direction
You can easily turn the outside lights so all four lights face in the same direction.
1) Remove Light Bolts on each end of the light
2) Remove End Cap
3) Remove Bracket Bolts to remove the bracket
4) Remove threaded bar and insert into the opposite railing
5) Re-assemble and align the center hole of the bracket where the wire exits the tube
IMPORTANT – Tighten bracket bolts BY HAND, then 1⁄4 of a turn ONLY or the
threads may be stripped.
Bracket Bolt Light Bolt
End Cap
MTLB-V1-051506 Copyright 2002-2006, Monster Tower, Inc
Wiring Recommendations
We recommend using a SPST relay (Single Pole Single Throw) with your switch and appropriate
gauge wiring. Relays are readily available at auto parts stores, Radio Shack, and online at
www.PartsExpress.com (part number 330-070) and cost under $5 each. Parts Express also has an
excellent technical support department. There are many sources and links for wiring 12V lights at
www.diyTower.com that you may want to reference.
Not using a relay could cause excessive heat in the wiring and switch and create a risk of fire
because of the amount of power being drawn by the high output lights. A relay works by using a
switch to run 12 volts to the relay. The relay acts as an electrical switch that activates and draws
power straight from the battery connection and sends it to the lights or accessory. The power
actually going to the switch never gets routed to the lights.
See diagrams and wiring size chart at the end of this document for options & details.
Running Wires Through The Tower
The following is specific to running wires on a Monster Tower, otherwise consult your tower
installation manual or provider for instructions on running wire inside your tower.
When you add speakers or lights to your Monster Tower, you can hide the wires inside of the rear
legs of the tower as well as in the straight cross member of the top section. Since the mating
parts insert 1⁄2” inside each end of the rear leg you can drill 1” away from the weld lines. For the
top section cross member you will need to place the hole 3” from the weld line to clear the
rotating collar assembly. The hole size will depend on what size wire you are running and how
many items you need to wire. The maximum hole size we recommend is 1⁄2” but normally smaller
is all that is needed.
We recommend covering the exposed wiring with 3/8” or 1/2” wiring loom and electrical tape for a
professional, watertight appearance.
1”
1⁄2”
For learning more about tower accessories, we highly encourage you to visit the “Boats and
Accessories” discussion boards at www.Wakeboarder.com and www.WakeWorld.com and
www.diyTower.com.
MTLB-V1-051506 Copyright 2002-2006, Monster Tower, Inc
Monster Tower, Inc Warranty
Monster Tower warrants this product (not including the bulbs) against manufacturers defects for a
period of five (5) years. If you have any questions
please feel free to call and discuss it with us. Please let us know if any services that
you require are not listed in our proposal.
The one service that we do offer that may be of assistance to your business is the
scheduling of vehicle services. Our office personnel will obtain from your company
a list of all fleet vehicles and mileage and use this information to maintain a schedule
of vehicle services needed. Notification for services such as oil and filter changes and
PM inspections can be handled in any manner whether through a phone call, fax or
email. In addition, we will also maintain a complete file on each vehicle enabling
us to have an individual maintenance history for your entire fleet.
The following pages of this proposal provide a list of services, a pricing sheet on
fleet maintenance with examples of fleet discount on parts, copies of our check
sheets used in PM inspections. There is also a vehicle condition report that we can
provide for your use, so that your drivers can report any problems as they arise.
We know through experience that proper maintenance of your vehicles can defray
much of the cost of major repairs.
We would like to thank you for the opportunity to offer this proposal to you
and again, if you have any questions please feel free to call. One
of the statements everyone makes today is how “busy” they are and how
we could all use more “time”.
This part of our program has been very helpful. We can manage this
service in several different ways. Some fleet managers fax a sheet over
once a month with the vehicle information and current mileage. We then
pull our files and perform a mileage check. The form is then faxed back to the
fleet manager and services are scheduled. Other fleet managers choose
to have us monitor their files on a weekly basis and inform them on
the current information we have in the files. Our final option is to have
one of our personnel go on site and take either biweekly or monthly
readings of your fleet.
We would be happy to install whichever program would be more suitable
to your work schedule. This program is working well for many of the
fleets we currently service.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or if I can be of
assistance in helping you set up your fleet maintenance schedule.
Sincerely,
Carla A Short
RJ’s Auto & Truck Repairs, Inc.
Maintenance Schedule Fax Sheet 337 232 6911
FAX 337 233 6681
www.rjsautoandtruck.com
SHOP SERVICES
CAR SHOP
We offer a fully equipped car shop with certified mechanics performing brake jobs,
carburetor repairs, engine overhauls, lube jobs, tune ups computer analysis, air
conditioning repairs and much more.
There are hundreds of public car auctions that are now available to the general public. As a matter of fact, if you know where to go and where to look, you will certainly get one of the best deals in a public car auction. Surprisingly these cars come from a variety of sources. From Police repossessions, to IRS repossessions, from trade in at new car dealerships, you name the source, be assured there is a car from that source. In fact going to a public car auction is this is a great way to save yourself time, money when looking to purchase a new car.

Once you have decided the car you want, start bidding on it. If the bidding gets beyond your budget, you can always drop out and walk away from the auction. Let someone else have the car as it suits their budget maybe. Don't worry about losing a car, there is always the next car coming for auction. One way to stay ahead is to research the car auction before you go and bid there. Find out some details from the staff there as to the detailed listings of the cars being sold. Before you start bidding, decide on the limits of your budget. As soon as you feel the bidding is going on the higher side, drop out of the auction and wait for the next car.

Most people do not consider the fact that buying cars in a public car auction can be an excellent source of investment. You buy at a low price and sell at the normal asking price i.e. you will be making a decent profit. Similar to all auctions, public car auctions too attract all forms of investors and future car owners.

One of the main reasons why people buy cars at auctions is that they can get to buy a great used car at much lower prices than the market rates. Apart from that is the availability of a wide range of cars if they loose the first car of their choice. Another way you can also consider is online auctions, which are usually public car auctions. Online car auction websites are a great way of finding a bargain car while sitting comfortably in front your computer. It is amazing how many car deals are closed every day, again through online car auction venues. So if you are after your new vehicle, try it. Real estate auctions!! A better way to sell your property!

Every heard of Real Estate auctions?? If no, don't be flabbergasted. The traditional way of selling properties has been either through placing an ad in the classifieds of the local daily with a good reach or through real estate brokers, who have access to real buyers. Undeniably both of them have their advantages. With a classified in a local daily, you can reach a wide audience spread over the area where the daily is usually distributed. While this gives you a wide reach, it might result in a lot of unwanted calls and enquiries. Real Estate Auctions eliminates these hassles. With the real estate agent, you might get a lot of prospects, but how many of them are qualified prospects is something to be noted.

Here is where real estate auctions come into picture. They provide a great platform for you to sell your property. It minimizes the hassles of prospects visiting the house frequently at untimely hours as well as attracts only qualified buyers who are actually looking to buy a property.

There are numerous advantages of holding a real estate auction.

5. Speed: One of the biggest advantages in an auction. You have prospects that are willing to buy and the auction itself will be completed one day. Everything is done at double-quick speed. This is a refreshing change from the long drawn process of the normal way of selling real estate.

6. You decide the date and time of auction. Once the prospects have looked at the property, you decide the date of auction and time as well. All happens without disturbing your regular schedule!!

7. You will get a better pricing with auctions. It is a known fact that auctions usually drive up prices. Real estate auctions are no different. They get a better price for the property owner with minimal effort. Sooner or later the property owner will be out looking for a new house, maybe in a better neighborhood.

8. You get the right prospects in a real estate auction. Invariably, the prospects will be people who are interested in buying the property and with the required credit line or funds.

Irrespective of the state of the property market, real estate auctions provide a great way to sell your properties for a better price. It is really a quicker way of disposing properties without the usual hassles. In real estate auctions it is said, both the buyers as well as seller, benefits, a lot. The Seller has the advantage of getting the properties disposed off faster and the Buyer has the advantage of getting the property into his hands quicker.

So, if you have a property and are looking to sell of the property, but were scared about the hassles involved in it, Real estate auctions are the way out for you. You decide the time, place and date of the auction. You are more or less assured of a better price. You can be assured of a quicker disposal of your property.

Article written by Cassaundra Flores, owner of Sports Fan Store, skyfireproducts.com.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Cassaundra_Flores

Blown Head Gasket? What To Do, And What Not To Do!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ap02cCVFr0Y/R6nC4QQQJVI/AAAAAAAAA5Y/06MDEZnsGFk/s400/Gasket1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5163872719448581458" />
A blown head gasket can be a costly repair any way you look at it, but there are some ways to make sure you get the most value out of your repair. The first thing to do is to make sure the diagnosis is correct. Then, find a reputable dealership or repair shop to handle the repair, preferably one that has a lot of experience in engine rebuilds and head gasket repair. Then, with the tips following, be sure to ask a few key questions to make sure the repair is done correctly.

The diagnosis can be a little tricky depending on how bad the head gasket is. If it is beginning to fail, the signs will be moderate, and will typically be a slight overheating, or a small amount of white smoke coming from the exhaust. If the gasket is completely gone, it will be obvious due to the rough idle, or it wont run at all. If it does run, there will be a large amount of white smoke coming from the exhaust. If the head gasket blows while driving, the biggest thing to watch out for is the temperature. Higher temps can quickly damage an engine by causing warping of the heads or the block, or even cracking. The sooner the engine is stopped after realizing the head gasket is blown, the better the chances of rebuilding the top end without major consequences.

The person or shop that performs the rebuild should know to check for warping of the block surface, the head surface, and to check for cracks in the head. These checks may cost a little more, but the consequences can be much more costly in the end if they are not checked. If the block is slightly warped, do ahead and have it flattened; if the head needs to be repaired, it can be decked to get the surface straight again. If the head is cracked, it will probably need to be replaced, but some have had success welding and repairing them. It depends on the location of the crack.

Once the parts are cleaned and/or repaired, its time to have it assembled. Most shops will know to torque the heads down to specs, and to use all new studs on the head. This helps make sure that the head is fastened on securely. Using the old studs can create a situation where the head is not properly torqued because the studs will stretch when they are torques. Old stud have already been stretched, so the torque value will be different than a new stud. You can see the difference in the treads if you hold the two studs up together.

These are a few things to look out for when having a head gasket repaired. You can look to spend between 1200 and 2000 depending on how much work needs to be done. Don't make the mistake in paying a discounted price for less experienced work. The results will cost you.

Majestic Modifications is the complete auto accessories solution, specializing in car accessories, cold air intakes and performance upgrades, body kits and exterior accessories, glow gauges and interior accessories, wheels and tires, mobile video, car audio and electronics.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Matt_Brooks

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://carautopart.blogspot.com/2008/02/blown-head-gasket-what-to-do-and-what_06.html' title='Blown Head Gasket? There is quite a large debate among drifters as to what cars can actually drift, what cars are best for drifting and what cars can absolutely not drift.

Our focus will be on whether or not the Nissan 300zx can drift, is it considered a good drifter and how does the weight of the 300zx affect its drifting capabilities. Nissan Sport Magazine is the expert Nissan magazine, and they love to see exactly what Nissan's are capable of. In 2005, Nissan Sport Magazine decided to test the 300zx Twin Turbo and the 300zx 2 + 2, to see what they were capable of in the drifting arena.

Before we drift, what exactly do we know about the 300zx that makes it different than the "typical" drifting car?

• The 300zx is FAST! The ability to reach 60 mph in around 5 - 6 seconds makes it an incredibly quick sports car, and with engine modifications, turbo modifications, or boost kits...it is even faster.

• The 300zx is heavy. The 300zx weighs in at a little over 3,500 lbs! This was and still is unheard of in what is considered to be a fast, agile sports car.

Many so-called "experts" claim that the 300zx can't drift because of its weight. Well, Nissan Sport Magazine wanted to find out if this was truth or myth. Let's see what their road tests showed:

• You CAN drift the ZX! It has an amazing right turn drift, but it requires an experienced drifter. Where some cars can be drifted by first-timers, the 300zx is not one of those. A key factor to drifting this particular ZX is the E-Brake. The emergency brake requires a harder jerk than other cars, due to the type of brakes that are on this model.

• The four drifts that were conducted on this ZX model completely destroyed a set of high-end Bridgestone tires!

• Nissan Sport Magazine also noted that less wheel flicking and more throttle, creates a better drift in the ZX. What additional factors play into drifting the 300zx?

Modify, modify, and modify some more! You can customize your braking system with performance brakes, you can use sup-up the turbo with a turbo kit, or simply do some minor tweaks with air intake and strut bars. Ok...so now you know what it takes to drift, but you have to find the best place to get your modification parts. I ALWAYS use Modified 300zx.

Jennifer Lassiter is a mom of four girls, and a advid fan of the Nissan 300zx. She enjoys shopping for aftermarket accessories and putting new touchs on her car. She also runs her own business.

http://www.modified300zx.com/

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Jennifer_Lassiter

Best Gas Mileage Car Could Be Your Car

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ap02cCVFr0Y/R6nBtwQQJTI/AAAAAAAAA5I/_3tcs1NGVtM/s400/milagecar.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5163871439548327218" />
A dream of many car owners and drivers. As gas prices are on a constant rise, people are seeking to get best gas mileage, no matter what it takes.

Since couple of months ago any car could become the best gas mileage car. No need to get rid of your loved V6 or V8 and buy one of these ugly prototypes. Recently FOX had an interview with an inventor who converted his car to a best gas mileage carin the country by simply tweaking his engine and adding little elements to it. This man was able to increase gas mileage of his old car by up to 207% by converting it to run on water fuel cells.

Any car could get better gas mileage using this method. You could easily bolt on some elements that do not damage your engine; in fact they increase gas mileage and save your engine's life. Best gas mileage car is no longer a dream - but a reality that major oil companies don't want you to know about because when you increase gas mileage, you decrease their profits, fuel efficient is their biggest fear.

Better gas mileage could also be achieved by changing your driving habits;

- Accelerate gently - your car will consume less gas.

- Keep your distance - every time you brake, you have to accelerate.

- Try to keep a constant speed as often as you can.

- Make sure your tires have the air pressure recommended by manufacturer.

- Do not go faster then 120km/h - a higher speed consumes more fuel.

Great fuel economy could be achieved by converting your car to burn water. You could do it by yourself. The parts you add to your engine are easy to remove and are completely untraceable. One thing for sure; converting your car to use water as gas will turn it into a best gas mileage car.

Click here to find out a way of getting the best gas mileage!

Best gas Mileage Car step-by-step guide could be found here!

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Alexandre_Sol

Alexandre Sol - EzineArticles Expert Author

Hyundai Closing In On Honda As Their Brand Value Rises

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ap02cCVFr0Y/R6nAsgQQJRI/AAAAAAAAA44/wprhPR2e-iM/s400/Hyundai-Logo.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5163870318561862930" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ap02cCVFr0Y/R6nAswQQJSI/AAAAAAAAA5A/bmfm2PDetd8/s400/honda_logo.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5163870322856830242" />
Hyundai Motor Corp. surprised everyone this year by making the biggest increase in automotive brand value and recognition. Hyundai for the first time ever beat such marques as Porsche, Lexus, and Nissan. Honda and Toyota are now forced to take Hyundai more seriously as it is now closing in on them at a rapid pace. According to J.D. Power and Associates, Hyundai has one of the highest consumer satisfaction ratings of all vehicle manufacturers and its brand value has greatly increases after the introduction of their hot 2006 model lineup.

According to the 2006 Best Global Brands survey Hyundai Motor Company has emerged as one of the worlds leading brands with stellar levels of customer satisfaction that rival the best in the industry. Brandon Yea, Hyundai's vice president for branding strategy, states "Hyundai represents solid quality and representation at every level now as we have everything from the low end to our new entry into luxury sedans with the Alzerra." Hyundai is now being seen as a serious player in the automotive industry. While other automakers are worried about profits (GM and Chrysler), Hyundai is thinking about how much more market share it will take this year. The Alzerra was targeted at the Acura and Lexus luxury car markets and has shown great promise so far.

Apparently Hyundai has taken a page from Walmart's founder Sam Walton - price yourself as aggressive as possible while providing what your customers want and need. Hyundai has out priced their competition and now sits poised to become, perhaps, the major automotive player similar to what Walmart did with its retail stores. According to the Harvard Business Review, Hyundai has the perfect business model and will be the automotive manufacturer to beat in the coming years. Large automotive dealership chains like Hendrick Automotive Group and Sonic are adding Hyundai dealerships as fast as they can be built.

Hyundai isn't sitting on its laurels with the good news, however. They are investing heavily in research and product development. They are also planning and designing more competitive models. "We have found great success in every product line we have been involved in and will continue to add to this. Our philosophy is similar to MDWholesale.com, one of our business partners - To provide the best value at the best price for our customers," stated Yea. GM and Chrysler will learn a lot about the car business from Hyundai, they don't have a choice.

David Maillie specializes in automotive safety products and information. If you own a 2-stroke snowmobile made in the last 15 years, the engine is likely equipped with "variable exhaust power valves". If that is the case, you probably know that you have to be quite diligent about their cleanliness and operation. This is one engine component that has to be monitored regularly to maintain peak performance.

Variable exhaust power valves are moving devices located at the engine's exhaust port. Every brand's variation is there to provide the same essential service and that is to vary the height and width of the exhaust port according to engine RPM. This vastly broadens the power band. At low RPM, the valves are in a closed position which promotes more complete combustion. This improves low-end torque and minimizes unburned gases in the exhaust stream. At high RPM, the valves are wide open which allows for optimum exhaust flow. This enables the engine to rev freely and produce maximum top end horsepower. Older systems were actuated by a mechanical linkage which opened and closed the valves based on engine RPM. Modern systems are actuated by electronic servo motors which precisely position the valves throughout the RPM range. Before the advent of the power valve, engine builders had to determine one size and shape of the exhaust port and exhaust pipe. This predetermined whether the engine would provide its optimum power delivery at either the high, mid or low RPM range. The power valve allows the two-cycle engine to provide usable horsepower throughout its operating RPM range.

The modern power valve system has evolved from a number of different variations over the last 30 years. Yamaha was the first company to find success with this concept when they integrated a variable exhaust power valve system in their 2-stroke Grand Prix road-racing motorcycles in the late 1970's. The technology then made its way to Yamaha's production road and motocross bikes the early 1980's. Other motorcycle manufacturers soon came up with their own systems. By the early 1990's, virtually all high-performance two-cycle motorcycles, ATV's, personal water-crafts and snowmobiles were equipped with variable exhaust power valve systems.

Keeping the power valve system clean is of paramount importance. As power valves are located directly in the stream of the exhaust flow, carbon deposits can accumulate on the valves over time. The deposit build-up can alter the shape of the valves and change the engine's exhaust flow characteristics. In extreme cases, the exhaust port can become completely clogged and expensive damage can occur. Deposits can also can hinder the valve movement or leave them stuck in one spot. Any of these scenarios will drastically impair the power delivery and output of your engine.

The task of maintaining your snowmobile's power valve system is not complicated. Your service or owner's manual will give specific instructions on how to remove and clean the system. Be careful when cleaning the valves, as you do not want to scratch or roughen the surfaces. Your manual will also offer a specific service interval and it should be followed religiously.

Once your valves are clean, there are ways to prevent premature valve depositing. First and foremost is to make sure that your machine is tuned correctly. Overly rich carburetor jetting is a major contributor to this malady. Rich jetting will allow too much fuel into the combustion chamber and this promotes carbon formation. If your sled is fuel injected, make sure that the system is operating correctly. Also make sure that your oil injection system is delivering the proper amount of oil. Perform regular spark plug readings as described in your manual. If your plug readings are off and you cannot determine the cause, contact your dealer.

Another major contributor to power valve depositing is the use of poor quality 2-cycle oil. The cheaper base stocks and additives used in lower grade oils can be cooked into carbon deposits very quickly. High quality synthetic two-cycle oil is notorious for its clean burning characteristics and will dramatically lower the rate of deposit formation. Good quality synthetic oils use sophisticated base stocks and high temperature additives which are engineered to avoid power valve depositing. They also have an effective detergent/dispersant package which will allow for much cleaner operation. When it comes to two-stroke injector oil, you definitely get what you pay for. Spending a little more on an oil that is specifically engineered to provide clean power valve operation will not only improve your engine's performance, it will save the headaches and expense that come with premature power valve depositing.

Snowmobiles operated at low speed and steady RPM over extended periods can also promote deposit build up. During this type of operation, the valves maintain a stationary position and this allows deposits to form. If the valves are constantly changing positions, there is less chance of deposits forming and increasing in size.

Variable exhaust power valves have revolutionized the capabilities of 2-cycle engines. With a little bit of maintenance and care, they will offer trouble-free performance.

Marc Roden is an AMSOIL Dealer in Canada who owns and operates Oildepot.ca. The possibility of water powered cars being invented has been talked up practically since the invention of the automobile itself. Unfortunately as of yet, there are no water powered cars to be seen on the roads or even at car lots because they have not yet been invented-or if they have, they haven't been proven safe enough to release to the public. This doesn't mean that the demand for water powered cars is ever going to go away. On the contrary, with the ever increasing cost of gasoline, the demand for water powered cars has reached an almost fevered pitch.

If we were experts in thermodynamics, physics, chemistry and car engines, here is how our water powered cars would work:

The gasoline tank would be replaced with a water tank. In that water tank there would be two metal plates. Each of those metal plates would be hooked up to its own electrical charge, which would effectively turn those plates into electrodes. A battery would send an electrical current through the water tank and this electrical current would cause the water molecules to react. Their reaction to the electricity would be for each of the two elements to separate and reform into two diatomic molecules: O2 and H2. The H2 would appear at the negatively charged electrode while the O2 would appear at the positively charged electrode. From the electrode the H2 diatomic molecules would be burned and the combustion of the hydrogen atoms would produce the power that would be necessary to run the car. If everything works the way it is supposed to, the power that comes from the H2 combustion would be relatively equal to two and a half times the power created form the combustion of gasoline.

Unfortunately, so far, this method hasn't proven to work correctly because a true water fuel cell will never work correctly. The laws of thermodynamics make it practically impossible for a water fuel cell to work. In order for the water fuel cell to work properly it needs to be a perpetual motion machine. In order to be a perpetual motion machine, the energy that is exerted in separating the molecules must be less than the amount of energy created as a result of the separation process. This means that there is a constant build up of energy within the fuel cell. Unfortunately the energy required to split a water molecule will always far outweigh the amount of energy created by the split itself. This renders the water fuel cell useless.

Hopefully one of these days, scientists will have a breakthrough and will figure out how to create water powered cars. After all, with the price of gasoline being what it is, the demand for such a product is huge. While nothing has been invented yet, you can take comfort in knowing that scientists and technicians are working like crazy to make water powered cars a possibility.

Do You Want To Know RIGHT NOW How You Can Drive Around Using WATER as FUEL and Laugh At Rising Gas Costs,http://www.carsthatrunonwater.net/index.html While Reducing Emissions and Preventing Global Warming? http://www.carsthatrunonwater.net/index.html

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Steve_Magill

Ford E83W van

I've been interested in E83Ws since 1989 when I bought my first example, from an overgrown field in Wales. Since then I've looked high and low for period photographs of these Fordson (later Thames) 10cwt rated vans, most of which have ended up on my E83W site. It seemed high time that a period picture of an E83W should feature on oldclassiccar too.

The E83W van shown here is an early example - time to don my vanorak!! First giveaway that this is an early van, is the tiny headlamp fitted to this example. Only some pre-war, and immediate post-war vans had these fitted as standard, later examples having the larger lamps also fitted to the E494A Anglia saloon, and some Fordson tractors. Interestingly the very first 10cwt brochures, from 1938, feature the van with much more bulbous headlamp lenses than even the post-war examples had. Later Thames examples also have a badge on the bonnet sides. The vast majority of E83Ws that survive today have the solid bonnet pulls, whereas this one has the ring-pull catches, as also seen on the smaller 5cwt Fordson E494C type (as on these examples of 5cwt van). Early front wings didn't have a heavily beaded edge, but were prone to splitting in the event of a minor bump, so later E83Ws had a revised and strengthened wing edge.

Although not entirely clear in this photo, I think it has the early pattern grille - ie with just one starter handle hole. The engine in these semi-forward control vans (and pickups) is offset to the passenger side. Therefore RHD UK market vans would have the starting handle hole over to the passenger side. Early vans just had this single aperture, but later examples have two starter holes, presumably when they were marketed overseas, sometimes in LHD configuration. Rather than have two different grille panels in production, it made sense to have a 'one fits all' approach. The grille on this example is slightly bent, a common problem with E83Ws, and it doesn't have the stainless trims fitted either, perhaps a concession to the war and blackout restrictions? If this had been the case though, I'd have expected to see a mask on the visible headlamp.

But back to the van. It has the correct 18" diameter rims (larger than on contemporary Ford saloons), fitted with tyres not overly burdened with tread. Although not obvious from this view, this van may well have had wind-up door windows. Examples from the 1940s and onwards (the E83W was built from 1938 to 1957) would have pull-up side windows, although the windscreen would open on all E83Ws produced.

Just visible in the screen is the Commercial user's 'C' licence, a requirement on commercial vehicles at the time. A close look at the photograph above also shows another giveaway of the early van. The rear arch shape is different. On this van, the arch drops straight down behind the roadwheel. Later examples would flare out and back more, to lessen the chance for mud and road dirt to splatter onto the van's coachwork. The photo of a similar van, at the foot of this page, shows this better.

Talking of coachwork, the E83W was produced in a number of guises at Ford's Dagenham plant, to maximise its flexibility, at a time when there were many coachbuilders in business. A standard van and wooden pickup was offered, and these would be joined by factory produced steel bodied pickups, estate cars, tippers and other variants in the Ford catalogue, as time went on. The E83W could also be ordered in chassis/scuttle form, ie with just the front end panelwork, to be bodied from the screen rearwards for whatever application was required (eg as an ice cream van, or mobile canteen), or as a chassis cab, so that bespoke bodywork could be mounted on the 10cwt chassis, rear of the factory cab. This flexibility lead the E83W to be used in many different trades, and ensured that sales remained strong right into the 1950s.

The E83W was finally pensioned off in 1957, the flat fronted 400E taking over where its pre-war predecessor left off.

All light commercials were worked hard, so it is highly unlikely that this van, registration LRE 431, is still around. The RE registration code was used by Staffordshire County Council, so there is a fair chance that this photo was taken in the Staffs area. The picture below shows a similarly-aged 10cwt van, photographed I think at the Dagenham works. Note the front bumper painted in white, and lack of window winders in the doors. The profile of the early type rear arch profile is clear in this shot. For comparison, a side-on view of a later E83W estate car has been included, featuring the later rear arch profile.

Used Cars for sale in Bristol

Bristol Cars Web are a brand new Bristol based car dealer website that brings together fantastic resources for finding ‘Used Cars Bristol’ in Bristol. The used car Bristol that I browsed through seemed to be pretty good. In about 36 seconds of work I was able to loaded the Cars for sale in Bristol ranging from %5 - %15 off on several major brands. Other used car on Bristol site I found included is more attractive site.
Overall grade: C

Graphic design: The landing page for find Cars for sale in Bristol is simple and easy to understand. Its not cluttered with advertisements or useless links. The site doesn't have too much design to it. It looks like they are running a pre-made scripts and only changed the template colors. I'm not a fan of the dark bar across the top that has the home and bookmark buttons or the dark footer. I think the colors do not flow with the site and look strange matched up against the white and pink of the site. Personally I would like to see a little more effort put into creating custom graphics of Used Cars Bristol. People have been trying to find alternative ways to run their cars in the midst of rising gas prices. This problem has forced many drivers to sell their cars and switch to public transport instead. Not too long ago, I heard about the water fuel technology and since it promised to help me run my car with water, I decided to try it out.

1. How Does This H2 Water Fuel Technology Work?

Your car will need to be provided water first so that hydrogen can be extracted from it. Only the exact amounts of hydrogen will be extracted when needed, so there is no danger to carry this system. Water undergoes electrolysis and is separated into hydrogen and oxygen molecules. One of the gases extracted is chemically made up of HHO and is called Brown Gas. This gas can be burned to provide energy to run an automobile.

2. What Is The Progress Of Water Fuel Technology?

For many years, researchers have been working hard to try and find a way to run a car completely on water. There has definitely been significant advancement in their research, and a company called Hypower Fuel Inc. has said that they can make vehicles use water as fuel. Their vehicle uses a hydrogen system under its hood that takes in water and extracts the necessary gases from it.

3. How Can You Make Your Own Hydrogen Fuel, And Is It Safe?

As I have personally been using this water car system for months now, I can say that it is definitely safe as the system only creates hydrogen on demand. Anyone can easily make this from their own homes with materials that cost less than $150. Exact steps needed to build this system are illustrated in step-by-step guides that can be downloaded from the internet.

Are you sick of expensive gas prices, and you want to run your car with H2 water fuel? One of the most popular methods is to upgrade your car through a part exchange. This means that you give a car dealer your old car in exchange for a reduction in price on your new one. This is a quick and easy way of upgrading your vehicle, though you won't get as much as you would if you were to sell it though other means.

The other limitation of this method is that it only works if you want to buy another car from the dealer. There may not be another car that you want, or that's in your price range; perhaps you have decided to go car-free or you're moving abroad and no longer need a car?

If, for whatever reason, part exchange is not suitable, many people try and sell their car onto their friends or work mates. This can be good for a quick sale, and it also costs little or nothing to advertise - just a quick email or a few phone calls. However, selling to people you know doesn't always have a happy ending. The problems can come when something goes wrong with the car. The buyer may feel that you are still responsible for it in some way, and may expect a refund or some sort of compensation. This can lead to a very awkward situation and friendships have been severed over less, so the best advice, if you're going to take this route, is to make out a clear agreement in writing that you both sign concerning any warranty period, refunds and repair costs. This way, you both know exactly what the agreement is at the time of the sale, so there a much less chance of any misunderstandings later on.

If no-one you know is interested in buying your car, or you'd rather avoid any potential awkwardness, then classifieds are an ideal place to advertise cars for sale. Local papers, and publications such as Auto Trader have always been popular places to buy and sell vehicles and nowadays online classifieds are also a very popular place to advertise.

The advantage of using the web to sell a car is that information can be uploaded instantly, and it is also much easier for buyers to search for vehicle via price, make, or model. The added bonus is that anyone with internet access can view such ads so an online advert tends to reach a wider audience. By selling privately, you're also likely to be able to get a higher price than through part exchange, or selling to a used car dealer.

But, whichever route you take to sell you car, be sure to hold out for the best possible deal; but at the same time, be realistic about what your car is worth.

Matthew Pressman is a freelance writer and frequent flyer. Scientists had already discovered many years ago that water is a renewable and powerful source of energy. With the rapid rise of gas prices, water fuel technology is becoming more and more popular recently. This discovery however, has never been released to the public.

1. Why Is Hydrogen Car Technology Ever Released?

It is mainly due to political reasons. The demand for fuel will decrease significantly if everyone knew how to run their cars with water, and this would eventually cause a huge shift in world politics. Also, these inventions were believed to be ahead of their time.

2. Fox Network's Video Report on Cars Running On Water

Fox News had also released a video report of a man who used hydrogen fuel to power his car, and he is still doing it. This technology has spread across the world, and today thousands of drivers are running their cars with a mixture of water and gasoline.

3. What Are The Benefits Of Running A Car On Hydrogen?

Water is very beneficial when used as a fuel source because it can decrease the harmful effects of pollution. When hydrogen is extracted and combusted for energy, it burns more efficiently and cleanly than regular gasoline. I have also seen a 50% increase in fuel economy and improved gas mileage. There have been reports of drivers who increased their mileage by 75% to 100.

4. How Can You Start To Run Your Car On Water?

There are step by step online converter guides being sold on the internet that teach anyone how they can build this hydrogen fuel system from their homes. I am very satisfied by the conversion guide I used as it is well detailed.

You will need to purchase some items like cables and tubes if you do not have them already. This system should cost no more than $150 to build, and does not modify the physical structure of your car's engine or the car computer.

Are you sick of expensive gas prices, and you want to run your car with hydrogen? We are in the time when the auto repair field has become very diverse. The days of the general Mechanic are almost nonexistent. I was a mechanic for 25 years and began my carrier back in 1972 when cars were very basic and you did not need a great deal of technical knowledge. I did not go to any tech school for mechanics. I learned by watching and asking questions and paying close attention to how the job was done. I also took the ASE exam (Auto Service Excellence) and was a certified ASE Mechanic for about ten years. Today it is a totally different field than it was thirty years ago. The auto Tech must have specific training in each field that he or she is wanting to be proficient in, and then go to work shops or seminars to keep up on the latest advances in your particular field.

It would be difficult for any mechanic to be totally proficient in all the fields in the auto trade today. You have to choose a specific field such as fuel injection, computer diagnostics, transmissions, engines, etc. Some employers will send you to school to be upgraded on a particular field. Mechanics are also expected to provide their own tools which can amount to several thousand dollars, and there are specialty tools that are needed for specific jobs. So your tool inventory is always growing. I came across situations where I had to buy a special tool just for one job, and usually from Snap-on, or Mac tools. Most shops will provide you with the scanners and other diagnostic tools for troubleshooting computer problems.

Here is a list of some the tool manufactures that provide a good variety of tools and accessories that you will need for your tool box:

SK Tools:

SK tool are another decent brand of tools on a par with Craftsman. They are available at most auto parts stores. They do have a lifetime warranty.

KD Tools:

KD Tools and a good brand of tools that can meet your needs without costing you a great deal out of pocket. I used many of there tools in my years as a mechanic and was pleased with the service and reliability that they gave me.

Chicago Pneumatic Air Tools:

Chicago Pneumatic Air Tools are a high quality tool that can provide you with service and reliability, and functionality that is expected of any quality tool, yet it is not overly expensive and will give you many years of service.

Lisle Tools:

Lisle Tools have a variety of handy items for just about any job or application. In my experience they are very reliable, and of good quality that will stand up to the expectations of the mechanic who is looking for tools to help him to achieve the quality of work that today's job demands

By George Branscom
bargainbarnexpress.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=George_Branscom

Never Put Water In Your Car As Gas - Imagine If You Could Though? Hmm, Water - 4 - Gas-Nice!

By Norb Czufis
Not sure if you remember the fuss about solar powered cars, and solar powered *fill in the blank_______*, but then we would have what is know as free or alternate energy - and you just CAN'T monetize that!

For centuries now, we've polluted our own planet with emmissions, with gases, with oil that burns day in day out, and we are now at peak oil! Do you know what that means? WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF NATURAL RESOURCES! They say that most of the US is pretty much dried up (literally), hence the heavy interest in rich land (again - literally) that gets sought out by governments in OH SO MANY creative and evil ways... If that wasn't bad enough though - when the idea of a water+ gas alternative to fuel hybrid was brought to light - IT GOT SHUNNED pretty quick!

Why would the governments want YOU to save your money? Save 40%-60% on your annual gas prices/spend, increase mileage on your car by double or triple - again - why bother you can't monetize as much! Can you believe that?! Our own 'powers that be' have actually taken more interest in corporations and bottom lines than the purity and longevity of mother earth! Nothing new though right? Would you believe me if I told you that there are actually many patents based around this technology? And that finally, the powers that be are being 'forced' to listen and take action soon?

Not only should you believe me - but it's actually happening RIGHT NOW all over the world! People just like you and me are taking the matter in-house, and starting to convert their cars to run on water from home and from the knowledge/power of the internet.

"Converting a car to run on water" that has been put through an electrolysis system is OH SO REAL! Perhaps it use to be far fetched, until alternate sources of media started to open our eyes, until the few patent holders were brave enough to show and tell their inventions, and today - there are a handfull of full time conversion kings that show you first hand and help you convert your car with you! According to the author and thousands of converted stories.

"Everyone wants to do something about the high gas prices, and the morals behind it, as well as help save our planet with more efficient energy use - we want to be pioneers in that sector - in fact we are, however the auto manufacturers still laugh at our ideas... My feeling? Not for long - soon we will have absolutely no choice but to create more economically friendly and viable energy sources, as we are at peak demand and still skyrocketing daily while our natural resources are drained"... This goes much farther beyond world population reduction and control - however that's what it comes down to if we use up all our resources (currently 90% or more GONE).

Having said all that though - it's not a laughing matter or one to be toy'd with - do your research and at least check out more than ONE system if you are planning on taking this idea to the next step. You can actually get ALL the necessary conversion tools and elements from your local hardware store. You can also get ready made kits out there but those are a)expensive b)hard to install c)come with little to no support. So instead, your best bet is to read a few reviews on the water4gas and 'run your car on water' products. These are the two that stick out in the industry, and for good reason - customer support baby! You actually have someone you can call, ask questions, get help going through the conversion process step by step.

* It doesn't damage your engine or vehicle

* It's 100% safe and does not need or use any harmful chemicals or substances

* Works with ANY car, suv, motorbike, even boats/trailers!

* There is a diesel 4 gas conversion as well

* It actually saves you 40%-60% of your gas money year round

* Get at least a 40% increase in your gas mileage

* Practical conversion and electrolysis system - step-by-step and realistic install guides.

* The best one: Finally tell those corporations where to go stuff it!

If everyone in the world stopped consuming gas for 2-4 weeks, one corporation at a time, we would cause some serious damage, but instead - we opt to stay silent, and can't imagine life 'without gas'... without a car, without pumping every 300-400km and spending ludacris amounts of money - for what? To make THEM more money... The point is, if we all started converting our cars, the demand and patents would get more attention, and the manufacturers would REALLY have no choice but to meet the demand of the markets - don't forget WE predict that demand - they just influence us. So be different today - give it a good thought - If you really could convert your car to run on water as fuel, for less than a your average tune-up - would you?

Not only will you see a great video of how this technology works first hand, but here you are given the TOP two providers of energy efficient water to gas conversion systems - these BOTH get a full 5 star rating in my books - take a peak: http://www.watergasforcars.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Norb_Czufis

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://carautopart.blogspot.com/2008/05/never-put-water-in-your-car-as-gas.html' title='Never Put Water In Your Car As Gas - Imagine If You Could Though? Gas is outrageously priced and killing the average consumer. We are not efficiently set up for mass public transportation. The automobile is the icon of American life. Electric cars are ugly, slow, don't have the range for a proper road trip, and are expensive. So what are we supposed to do?

The answer is to modify your existing car to run on a combination of water and gasoline. We are not talking about science fiction either. We are talking about spending approximately two hundred dollars and about twenty hours of your own time in a garage. We are talking about getting up to double your current gas mileage. Within a month you should have saved enough money to have recouped your investment. After that? It's like a tax free pay raise.

Here is what has to happen. We will place a container in the engine bay and fill it with water. Some systems require using a bit of baking soda and some don't. This water will be "wired" to the cars electrical system so that you can separate the components. Electrolysis is the process that will bring the HHO, Browns Gas, out of the water. This gas will be metered into the fuel system to augment the gasoline.

HHO burns more efficiently than gasoline. And, the HHO exhaust is water. Currently, none of the big automakers wish to pursue the technology. Instead they are banking on electrics, and dual fuel (ethanol) hybrids. IOW they are trying to move away from gasoline altogether. That is great for the long haul. But right now we are feeling the pain right up close and personal at the gas pumps.

The time to move on this technology is today, because gas prices are only going up.

In a Gas/Water Hybrid Car, the next benefit is that the car will run cooler and reduce wear and tear on the engine. Since you will be using less gas, you will also lower your emissions.

As I said, the truth is that fuel prices have a strangle hold on every person in this country. There is an off-the-shelf technology that will break the hold.

I am Phillip Gwinn, learning and making practical applications of what I learn is one of my passions in life. But have you ever heard about it from the other side? Only if you are seeking information on the pros and cons of owning a hybrid car, will you become aware that there are cons too that many manufactures don't want you to know about. Here is the list of the top 8 pros and cons of owning a hybrid car that will help you to better understand what your really getting yourself into when you purchase a hybrid car:

Pro: Better gas mileage - Hybrid vehicles will take you twice as far as the conventional vehicle for every gallon of fuel. With gas prices escalating this should sway the buyer towards the hybrid car just to save money on their gasoline purchases.

Con: The mileage, in reality, is 10% less than what the tag claims. This can come as a setback to owners with financial constraints. Claims on the tag apart, the fact is that hybrid cars are only 25 to 30 percent more efficient than the new gas-saving vehicles on the market which may opt to be a better choice in the long run.

Pro: You'll save a lot more money in the long run- If you own a hybrid you'll save approximately $2,300 over a ten year period which is really nothing to sneeze at when it comes to saving money.

Con: The cost of hybrid cars ranges from $19,000 to $25,000 compared to conventional fuel-efficient vehicles that cost anywhere between $14,000 to $17,000. Hybrid cars don't pay for themselves although many manufactures would like you to think they will.

Pro: Hybrids are more fuel-efficient and better for the environment- Hybrids are built specifically to be environment friendly. They reduce the amount of gas you need by utilizing instead. Hybrids cut the amount of emissions from your car by 25% to 30%.

Con: If you're a jump-start driver and you speed all the time, your eco-friendly hybrid vehicle will not live up to its name. Speeding and starting too quickly from a light is a waste of gasoline in any car, even a hybrid. A hybrid uses gasoline products and a bad driver can cause harm to the environment so it really depends on what kind of driver you are when it comes to being more fuel-efficient and better for the enviroment.

Pro: Regular maintenance and repairs are just like getting a conventional car fixed- Hybrids are just hybrids. They have many of the same parts as conventional vehicles that can be serviced by any qualified mechanic.

Con: Regular maintenance and repairs are no problem, but hybrids have their own unique problems - a complex system requiring two motors, ancillary systems, computers, a heavy battery and a generator that must all work together. The complexity and newness of hybrids will surely see owners paying bigger repair/service bills besides spending more time sitting around the repair shop.

Learn everything you can about a vehicle before purchasing it and spare yourself from some nasty surprises.

To learn more about hybrid cars visit hybridcarchat.com and join the hybrid car forums.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Thomas_Jones

Chevrolet Hybrids

By Thomas Jones
The name Chevrolet certainly isn't foreign to the American population. After all, who hasn't heard the definition of a classic car being a "57 Chevy?" In looking at Chevrolet, though, classic cars and pick-ups come to mind, and not necessarily hybrid cars. Don't write Chevrolet off yet, though, but actually go take a look at Chevrolet. The sedan and truck known from Chevy are getting a remix, in the form of the more technological and eco-friendly hybrid.

2005 brought changes to Chevrolet's line-up, introducing the Equinox Hybrid vehicle, which, fascinatingly enough, was a hybrid SUV, one of the first in in the market, but not nearly as widely known. The Chevrolet Tahoe was right before the Equinox, and recent developments with Chevrolet have made the Equinox unavailable for pricing, so it seems that this new, unique take on one of the more gas-guzzling vehicles in the mass market has not seen the light of day in some time, and no information has been given on whether or not the vehicle will return. Even if there are major changes, the original Equinox was going to use a similar hybrid system that the Chevy Tahoe had, as well has having a major boost in fuel-efficiency from its typical gas-powered mate.

Putting the Equinox aside, Chevrolet offers both sides of the hybrid argument, the disappointingly less than fuel-efficient Chevy Tahoe Hybrid and the more affordable and much more fuel-efficient Chevy Malibu. In comparison to the Tahoe's 20 miles to the gallon, the Malibu can boast over 30 miles per gallon, making the Malibu a vehicle to consider when window-shopping for hybrids.

Coming soon from Chevrolet will be the Silverado Hybrid, which is going to be the first pick-up truck hybrid (I don't know about you, but I think that just sounds really cool). Originally slated for 2004, it has taken some time for this long-awaited innovation to arrive on the market, but considering the bad reception of the Tahoe and the competitive edge that Chevrolet wanted on the sedan front of the hybrid movement which prompted the Malibu, the Silverado is now finally going to be available with technology that should make things more accessible.

The Silverado should be available in limited supply in the fall of 2008, but will make its mass market debut in 2009 so they will be more available for every buyer. While still a good six months away from its premiere, this is definitely a vehicle to keep an eye on. A hybrid pick-up truck: Talk about completely changing around the stigma on trucks as gas guzzlers and turning them into more fuel-efficient vehicles that will be great for the whole environment.

As for other items on Chevrolet's market, the Concept Camaro has been rumored to possibly be a hybrid. Granted, there's nothing official yet, but, considering the major changes that would need to be made in order to make this classic staple a hybrid, there should definitely be more information on this particular item later

To learn more about hybrid cars visit hybridcarchat.com and read the hybrid car blog daily.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Thomas_Jones

Luxury Hybrids

By Thomas Jones
Do you know what luxury hybrid vehicles are available on the market today? Do you get confused when you see advertisements on the television for the many different makes and models? You're not the only one. Hybrid vehicles are becoming more and more popular in today's driving world and the choices are growing each and every day. This handy guide will give you - hopefully - a clearer look at the variety of hybrid vehicles that are available for consumer purchase.

BMW

The racing market has been cornered by BMW and its HR2 hybrid. They also have a line of consumer hybrid vehicles which include the BMW C-1 scooter, BMW X6 hybrid, BMW SUV hybrids, and the BMW X3 hybrid.

Lexus

Luxury vehicle manufacturer Lexus offers consumers two hybrids in the sedan style: the GS and the LD. The RX is their SUV hybrid. The LS sedan is one of Lexus' top line models with a hefty price tag of$104,000.00 MSRP. The GS comes in at $54,900.00 MSRP, and the RX SUV starts at $41,280.00 MSRP.

Mercury

Mercury is the working classes luxury automobile and their Mariner SUV hybrid is a four-wheel drive starting at $28,945.00. The full wheel drive model is $27,195.00. Mercury's prices for their hybrids are staying to close to the MSRP for their conventional models even though most hybrids go for an average of $10,000.00 more.

Porsche

Deep pockets drive Porsches in the first place and they are getting into the hybrid market with the introduction of the Porsche Cayenne SUV sometime in the 2008-2009 automobile season. Considering a fully loaded Porsche SUV sits around $93,700.00, plan on bringing your bank book. This will probably not be the only hybrid Porsche will develop. Many people will be interested in the sedan line the company offers and that will probably be the next offering after the Cayenne.

Mercedes

While they still don't have a consumer hybrid on their dealership lots yet, Mercedes is planning on bringing one out in 2009. One of the S-Class cars, this hybrid will not be cheap. Estimates are already placing cost between $127,000.00 an $195,000.00. Hybrids tend to be more expensive overall so don't be surprised if it goes over that $195,000.00. If it goes well, Mercedes will bring out more by 2010.

Just because you don't see your favorite car line on this list, that doesn't mean they do not have a hybrid available. Toyota and Ford both have models on the lots and there is rumor circling that Volkswagen will begin producing them as well. As a matter of fact, it will probably just be a matter of time before most major automobile manufacturers have a hybrid in their 'stable' of vehicles.

Also, car manufacturers are constantly adding to the product line and rolling out new models every year. If you have a little bit of patience, you will be able to find the perfect hybrid for you. It doesn't matter if it is an SUV or car - maybe even a truck - hybrids are the way of the future and there will more on the road as the years go by.

You might also want to check out some hybrid car news and discuss it in the hybrid car forums

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Thomas_Jones

Hybrids vs The Internal-Combustion Engine - Cost & Benefits

By Thomas Jones
Initially, hybrid cars were released with a hefty price tag attached to them, which made it much more difficult for consumers to even consider going eco-friendly. Top that off with a three-year waiting list in order to even get close to one and hybrids were originally an unattainable "nice idea" for many. Thankfully, the production has become a little more frequent, the vehicles are more mainstream now and with that has come a more affordable price. Because of this, consumers are now able to consider purchasing a hybrid, but it's time to take a look at what exactly are the benefits and costs for buying a hybrid over a regular car:

1. Cash on Hand - The upfront cost of a hybrid, while substantially less than it had been before, it still isn't nearly on the same par as conventional cars. In fact, the initial cost you are looking at is still upwards of $3000 to $6000 more than the older cars.

2. The Pretty Bells and Whistles - While they may be completely awesome, such as the Prius's voice recognition system, the add-ons and optional features may not be so optional. Make sure you know what extra wing-dings you buy are going to be worth.

3. Less Pay At the Pump - This is going to be the biggest change you see right out of your pocket. Hybrids depend completely on two different energy sources in order to power the car, so when it comes time to fill up the gas-powered half of your vehicle, it'll be only half as often. Your gas expenses will most likely be cut down in half from buying a hybrid.

4. I Can Fix It - As long as the repairs you need aren't because of your battery pack, it's going to be the same as paying for a gas-powered car to get maintenance.
But, if you do have a battery problem, it's a major expense, and typically, your warranty no longer covers the battery by the time it fails, so you can expect up to $4000 in repairs or more.

5. Super-Green - If you're really focused on being good to the environment, then getting a hybrid is something that you will feel completely justified in purchasing. Hybrids have minimal emissions, extremely fuel-efficient and eco-friendly. But, you will have to take the extra consideration to improve your driving skills, because if you're using a SUV hybrid or drive fairly destructively, the benefits of your eco-friendly car will disappear and turn into disastrous. On top of that, the actual trademark of the hybrid is its eco-friendliness, but the fact of the matter is that many conventional cars are now able to reduce their own emissions, taking some of the hybrid's thunder away.

6. We Lack The Capacity, Cap'n! - You may want your hybrid to blaze at the speed of light, but, it simply isn't possible. In fact, trying to get your compact hybrid to actually compete with the acceleration factors of conventional cars is going to be incredibly hard to get. The larger cars, like SUVs and sedans, can go faster than actual gas-powered cars, but not always.

7. Itty Bitty Living Space - It would be a nice thing to have a hybrid car that is huge and massive, very Arnold-esque, but it's just not all that common. You just can't depend on a hybrid to be the same size as the conventional counterpart, because most of the time they are smaller. More often than not, you probably won't be able to get the same amount of people or stuff into your hybrid sedan that you got in your old conventional one.

8. Mo' Money, Very Nice - Another fantastic advantage is that by buying eco-friendly products these days, state governments may offer free parking at the meters, as well as being able to travel in the HOV lanes during rush hour. On top of that, eco-friendly vehicles are considered to fall under the tax credits given to those who buy green appliances.

There are so many different benefits and costs to owning a hybrid over gas-powered cars, but the biggest thing to remember is that hybrids are not the mainstream yet.

You might also want to check out some hybrid car reviews and discuss it in the hybrid car forums

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Thomas_Jones

Buying A Nearly New Car

By Jeff Hendrix
US car makers often times sell very high numbers of cars to rental agencies with the plan that after a period of time or a certain number of miles, these cars will be bought back. These cars are known as program cars and after they are bought back they will be reconditioned by the manufacturer and sold to dealerships. The dealerships then either sell them or often times offer them as part of a used car lease deal. If you want a dealer to know you mean business and know what your doing, ask them about program cars.

The advantage of these cars is that they have low mileage and have been well maintained by the rental agency. After they have been returned they have been refurbished again by the manufacturer. Often times these cars will even still have some of their factory guarantee left on them.

The risks of these cars is that they have been driven by a lot of drivers who probably drove them pretty hard and were not to concerned about the treatment of the car. They will not have a previous owner who knows about the strange quirks and problems the car has. Also keep in mind though that each one of these cars has to pass a rigorous inspection by the manufacturer before you can buy it.

Another option to consider for nearly new cars is a factory demonstrator car also known as an executive car. Many factories offer great purchase deals to the factory employees who often times sell their car at the end of each model year and purchase the new one. These cars are almost always low mileage cars in great condition and even still under factory warranty. To find some of these for sale in your area you will want to call around to the home offices for specific models in your area and ask about the executive or company cars available.

The final option for nearly new cars is to look into rental cars that are being sold of by the agencies at their lots and at special locations. They offer mainly the same pros and cons as a program car. The biggest difference is that rental agencies often do not include any negotiation room on the price, but rather just charge a flat take it or leave it price. These prices are often awesome deals but you need to find the right ones. It is still highly highly recommended for even these cars that you bring in an independent mechanic to inspect the car and make sure you are getting a good deal on it.

Are you located in Minneapolis and looking for more information on shopping for a car here?
